- What is the Heart of Missouri Chapter?
The Heart of Missouri Chapter is a chapter of an organization called DeMolay. DeMolay was founded in 1919 and has since then instilled the virtues of filial love, reverence for sacred things, courtesy, comradeship, fidelity, cleanness, and patriotism. Over the years, DeMolay has helped young boys develop into grown men through the brotherhood it creates. Although DeMolay has been around since 1919, our chapter applied for Letters Temporary in August of 2000, and in June of 2002 the Chapter was awarded its official Charter.

- What's so special about our chapter?
Good question...I guess you could say that it's just like every other chapter in that it's an excellent place to meet new friends, take on responsibility, and further ourselves as men, but we take a special pride in our chapter by emphasizing comradeship and brotherhood through fun and activities than we do on memorization and competition (although we rock at that too). Oh, and being in the Missouri Jurisdiction, we're in the most active jurisdiction in the world (no joke).

- When do we meet?
Our chapter holds its regular meetings every first and third Friday of the month at 7:00pm. Our meetings typically last from an hour to an hour and a half, but usually we like to have movie nights or game nights after our Friday meetings that tend to stretch the time a bit more. We also try to schedule activities between meetings every once and a while.

- Where do we meet?
Our Chapter holds its meetings at the Columbia Valley Scottish Rite Center at 33 Masonic Dr, Columbia, Missouri. (as pictured above)

- What do we do at our meetings?
Usually, we discuss activities we want to do in the future, like games or movie nights. We also discuss new candidates, fundraisers, community service events, and the like, just as any other club would. The only difference is that we have a formal opening/closing ceremony for each meeting.

- How do you join?
So you're somewhat, remotely interested in joining DeMolay, awesome! The best way to see if you want to join is by contacting one of the officers listed on our website by e-mail, aim, facebook, or even by phone, and just tell them you're interested. Usually we'll send you some brochures, an application, and invite you to come and check out one of our meetings or game nights. Even if you're too far away to join our chapter, we'd be more than happy to help you find another DeMolay chapter closer to you.

- What are the requirements to join DeMolay?
To join DeMolay, you must be a young man between the ages of twelve and twenty-one; believe in a supreme being; be a person of good character and good reputation; and petition a DeMolay chapter...oh, and you've gotta be willing to meet new people and have fun!
